Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has tied the knot with his longtime partner, Chioma Avril Rowland, in a grand white wedding worth $3.7 million in Miami, United States.
The figure was revealed by the 32-year-old singer in a video he recorded, which fellow artiste, Teni, shared on Instagram.
“We’ve spent $3.7 million in cash. So, you should know what we are doing. It’s going to be crazy,” Davido said in the video.
The Miami celebration comes after their court wedding in March 2023 and a traditional wedding in June 2024 — both of which drew top politicians, business moguls, and celebrities from across Nigeria.
The couple touched down in Miami earlier this week aboard a private jet adorned with floral decorations and a chair marked “MRS,” a romantic nod to Chioma.
Videos from their pre-wedding party showed Davido wearing a white hat, blue suit jacket, white trousers, and Ankara fabric draped over his shoulders, while Chioma dazzled in a short white gown.
At the party entrance, a bold print reading “Chivido. Miami. 2025” on a white background greeted guests, resembling the signage seen at upscale bars and mart shops.
Nigerian entertainers such as Zlatan Ibile, Teni, Adekunle Gold, Tunde Ednut, and Poco Lee were spotted among the attendees.
Davido and Chioma, who first met over a decade ago, have been one of Nigeria’s most talked-about celebrity couples. Their union has been marked by public highs and personal challenges, making this wedding a symbolic new chapter in their journey.
While images and videos of the ceremony have gone viral on social media, the couple has yet to grant an official post-wedding interview. The Miami event is expected to be followed by private celebrations with close family members.
